This was a sketch challenge I followed on Splitcoaststampers, one of my favorite sites. It forces me to try new things and think outside the box. I used Prezzibella from Stamping Bella and a sentiment from retired All Year Cheer I, another SU! set. I also use some paper from my glittah stack...those are just fabulous...love my bling :)

Hawaiian Invitation

My cousin was throwing a bridal party for a friend last spring, so I helped her make some invitations while I was on maternity leave. Delight in Life, a Stampin' Up! stamp, was used to make the flowers on this card and Sincere Salutations for the sentiment. I also added heart brads to the flowers and dotted the "i" with a red heart gem.

We had a great time making these cards and it was so nice to just hang out and catch up. There are usually so many people at our family get-togethers that there's never any one on one time. I love the way cardmaking and scrapbooking bring people closer! We need more of these treasured times together :)

Long, long time...

Well, well...it's been almost a year since I've posted. It's about time I get back on here and keep it up to date. There have been a ton of cards I've made since last December, but I won't be able to upload them all :)

I would like to share the Christmas card I sent out last year. I used a stamp from one of my favorite websites, Stamping Bella, called Sockafellabella. I used some fun DP from Hobby Lobby for the background and colored pencils to brighten the image. I also used white flocking to give the stocking some dimension.

Hope you enjoy!

When I saw this "Peek-A-Boo" box I just had to try it. Here's the tutorial:

I used the snowman from my SU! Very Merry set and typed the saying using Word.
Here's a site with many more poems:
I love how it turned out! I hope it's not inappropriate to give these out to my co-workers :)

Elephant Invite

I am new to this blog thing, but thought it would be fun. I was testing out a template I found in a magazine and LOVE it. Check out this elephant invitation. I won't be using this for any upcoming showers, so maybe I'll use it as a card until I have an occasion to duplicate it :)
